The first table lighter was first sold in 1939, named the #10 Deluxe Table Lighter. Its name was then changed to 'Barcroft' in year 1954, which was the maiden name of G,G,Blaisdell's wife,
Due to world efforts, the production of #10 Deluxe Table Lighter was halted in year 1941, and resumed in 1947.
Much changed over the years, especially the design of the Table Lighter. The height was shortened, steps of the table lighters changed. Different designs came out to cater to different groups of Zippo users, There were the female version and male version of table lighters as well.
